Day 66 - 12/11/23 - At sea to Scarborough, Trinidad & Tobago

Once again it was nice to have a sea day.  It was relaxing as there was another Mariner Society awards ceremony in the morning and, therefore, there were major programs scheduled.  After our next to last interdenominational bible study, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast.  I then worked on confirming participation in our upcoming excursion in Barbados.  Also, the photo contest pictures went on display in the Atrium and I cast my votes.

After lunch Bill Osler and I exchanged photos on airdrop before we went to the Shore Excursions presentation on the remaining ports of call.  This was followed by Andy Fletcher's presentation on Quantum Mechanics.  Much of it went over my head and he indicated that is exactly what it would do for most of us.  He still remains an interesting and engaging presenter.

I did some deck walking and found a miscrit moth which I photographed for my collection.  Jo Johnston invited us to a dinner in the Caneletto and we enjoyed some very good conversation about cruising and general knowledge about each other.  She confirmed a possible future cruise option for us that I'll not yet disclose, but it's a pretty cool one.  Unfortunately our dinner service was really slow and there were very few other diners there.  The food was terrific, but the slowness was a real distraction.  Finally, we had to leave before eating dessert, but had it saved for later consumption.

The entertainment tonight was the singers and dancers in a show called "It Takes Two" featuring Rickie and Hailey in the singing roles and accompanied by the four dancers.  It was very good and we returned after eating our dessert to watch the 9pm show.

We started to do our nightly moth walk when Angela remembered that there was a final Oi Brasil performance in the Ocean Bar.  It was a loud and energetic and colorful performance which encouraged audience participation.  This group is a nice addition for the voyage in Brazil.  They get off the ship in Barbados.

Tomorrow we're in Scarborough, Trinidad & Tobago.  We're likely just going to visit the botanical garden and do some general exploring.
